Turning the Cosco Felixstowe
Judith and Michael invited us for a day of
sailing on the San Francisco Bay on Sunday,
May 26, 2013. Our trip took us about 16
total miles from Scrimshaw's slip to just East
of Treasure Island where the wind convinced
us to head back.
On the way back we were followed by container ship 'Cosco Felixstowe' and two Foss tugboats 'America' and 'Marshall.'
Michael knew that the ship would be turned
at a specific spot in the channel so we
tacked back and forth to watch from a
safe distance.
With the ship headed back toward Asia we continued home tired and happy.
Many thanks to both Michael and Judith for a fine day.
